# Equipment Enchantments

<figure><img src="/files/8WP4VlQM6XB9cgybH6dn" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Enchantment Guide

Add a **random enchant orb** to your equipped armor. Each piece can hold **one orb** at a time. You can re-roll as many times as you want until you get the effect you like.

***

### Where to go

Talk to **Armor Enchantment** in the **Eden Group Headquarters** (`moc_para01`).

{% hint style="info" %}
Open the in-game map and search for **Armor Enchantment**, or warp to Eden Group HQ and look for the NPC near the entrance area.
{% endhint %}

***

### How it works

1. Wear the armor piece you want to enchant.
2. Talk to **Armor Enchantment** and choose **Enchant Armor**.
3. Pick which slot to enchant: **Headgear**, **Armor**, **Shield**, **Garment**, or **Footgear**.
4. Confirm the attempt. The NPC takes **one matching scroll** and **100,000,000 zeny**.
5. If it succeeds, a random **Level 1, 2, or 3** orb is applied to that item.
6. If it fails, you still lose the scroll and zeny — but **your armor and any orb already on it are safe**.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**On failure:** scroll + zeny are gone. Your equipment is **not** destroyed, and your **current orb stays** if you already had one.

**On success:** the new orb **replaces** whatever orb was on the item before.
{% endhint %}

***

### Cost & success rates

|                      |                                      |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------ |
| **Zeny per attempt** | 100,000,000 z                        |
| **Scroll required** | 1 scroll matching the equipment slot |

| Result            | Chance  |
| ----------------- | ------- |
| Level 1 orb       | 30%     |
| Level 2 orb       | 10%     |
| Level 3 orb       | 5%      |
| **No orb (fail)** | **55%** |

When you succeed, the game rolls the **orb level** first, then picks a **random orb type** from the list for that equipment slot. Every orb type in the table below has the **same chance** within that slot.

***

### Scrolls by equipment slot

You need the scroll that matches the piece you are enchanting.

| Equipment slot | Scroll name                   |
| -------------- | ----------------------------- |
| Headgear       | **Helm Enchantment Scroll**   |
| Armor          | **Armor Enchantment Scroll**  |
| Shield         | **Shield Enchantment Scroll** |
| Garment        | **Robe Enchantment Scroll**   |
| Footgear       | **Shoes Enchantment Scroll**  |

***

### Requirements

Your item must meet all of these:

* Equipped on the correct slot
* A normal armor piece (headgear, body armor, shield, garment, or shoes)
* **Tradable** — bound or rental gear cannot be enchanted
* **Not signed**
* You have the correct scroll in your inventory
* You have enough zeny
* You have enough carry weight / inventory space

{% hint style="danger" %}
You cannot use this service while **@security** is enabled on your account.
{% endhint %}

### Possible orbs — Garment

Uses **Robe Enchantment Scroll**.

These orbs increase resistance to that element.

| Orb type         | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 |
| ---------------- | ------- | ------- | ------- |
| Neutral          | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Water            | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Earth            | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Fire             | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Wind             | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Poison           | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Holy             | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Dark             | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Ghost            | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Undead (element) | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |

### Possible orbs — Footgear

Uses **Shoes Enchantment Scroll**.

| Orb type     | Level 1 | Level 2 | Level 3 |
| ------------ | ------- | ------- | ------- |
| Physical ATK | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| MATK         | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Ranged ATK   | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |
| Critical ATK | +1%     | +2%     | +3%     |

***

### Tips

{% hint style="success" %}
**Safe to chase upgrades.** Because failed attempts never remove your current orb, you can keep rolling on the same item until you hit a Level 3 you want — as long as you have scrolls and zeny.

**Plan your slot.** Shield orbs are defensive (race reduction). Garment orbs are elemental resistance. Footgear orbs are offensive. Pick the slot that fits your build.

**Check your item before you start.** Signed, bound, or rental gear cannot be enchanted — verify the piece is eligible first so you do not waste a scroll.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://playdarkro.gitbook.io/wiki/stat-booster/equipment-enchantments.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
